Just to give you an idea of what this entails; none of our road stewards deliver more than 150 newsletters, and this number can generally be delivered in under an hour. With three issues a year that's less than 3 hours work a year!

Unfortunately, some of our committee members and councillors are delivering many more than 150 newsletters because we do not have sufficient road stewards, particularly in Ruxley Ward.

Please help them to get on with the things they should be doing by helping us.

We also would like volunteers to help us collect subscriptions. This takes a bit longer and involves actually talking to your neighbours! Paid up members are allowed to vote at our AGM and the money mainly finances printing costs.

Put very simply, the more subscriptions we collect, the less adverts we have to put in our newsletter to cover its costs, so we can print more news in it.

Collectors are issued with a receipt book and identification card, and a wealth of handy hints.

By calling on residents they also are a point of contact for feedback to the Association.

Often this role will be combined with newsletter delivery.

Our Road Steward Coordinator is currently running around delivering piles of freshly counted newsletters to Stewards all over West Ewell & Ruxley Wards. Why not lighten her load by offering yourself and your car to distribute the newsletters thereby lightening the load.

Probably a half days work three time a year.

Contrary to popular belief, our committee is not made up of retired gents meeting monthly for a moan!

Both our Chairman and Vice-Chairman have young families, but feel that they should devote some of their time to making the neighbourhood that their children live in a better place.

If you have experience in being part of a dynamic voluntary organisation, and are prepared to be a doer not a moaner; then "your RA needs YOU".

Be prepared to make the majority of our monthly committee meetings.

Our advertisers help pay for the newsletter that keeps residents of West Ewell & Ruxley Wards informed of our news. We urgently need someone to take over the job of visiting local businesses to arrange advertising in the newsletters' three issues a year. Our existing customers will be introduced to the new coordinator, however we would love to find someone with the initiative and flair to find new advertisers
